Oslo & the Ladies Norwegian Challenge

Share:

Just a short note to say we’re on the way to in Oslo today for this week’s LET Access Series / Nordea Tour event, the Ladies Norwegian Challenge.

A strong field of 121 players have signed up for the tournament, including a number of LET regulars like Marianne Skarpnord and Caroline Martens.  The top scandinavian amateurs and aspiring pros from the Nordea tour are in the field, including Tonja Daffinrud who competed at the Junior Solheim Cup in 2009 at Aurora Country Club near Chicago.  And of course the top LETAS golfers will also be there, such as Marion Ricordeau, Anastasia Kostina, Pamela Pretswell, Cecilie Lundgren, Marianne Macias, and Erika Holmen.

The host club this week is Hauger Golfclub, located just to the northeast of Oslo.  The event was originally planned for Losby, but was moved a few weeks ago to Hauger.

The course looks to be a bit wet, but ready for the tournament.  Tees and greens are in very good condition.  Fairways are a bit wet and mud will be an issue out there.  Greens are quite receptive due to recent rain.  I heard that as recently as 10 days ago, they were rock-hard and much more difficult since most approaches are blind, uphill shots.  It all looks great for photos though, fingers crossed for blue skies, as the views and backgrounds could be very nice indeed.

The tournament is scheduled for 4-6 July.  Our tournament photos will be published each day both here at DogLegMedia as well as on the LET Access Series website, the LETAS Facebook page, and on the Poodle Facebook page.  Photos will also be available for media (editorial) and commercial use (brands). Contact us if you are interested.

If you happen to be in Norway this week, stop by Hauger to see some great golf.  Otherwise, follow the live scoring via the LET Access website, or our tweets (@PoodleGolf) on Twitter.
